Obituary For Anthony J. Yanni

Anthony J. Yanni, 51, of Longmeadow, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 7, 1974, Anthony was the cherished son of the late Anthony J. and Beverly A. Starr Yanni. He grew up in Steubenville, OH, where he graduated from Catholic Central High School before earning his degree from Miami University of Ohio.

Anthony’s greatest love story began early, when he married his grade school sweetheart, Dr. Janice M. Vallera Yanni. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three wonderful children: Adalenna, Noella, and Anthony “AY”. His devotion to his family was unwavering and defined every chapter of his life.

He is also survived by his loving siblings Jason (Becca) Yanni, Christina (John) Canella, and Michael (Karla) Yanni; his mother-in-law Theresa (late Joseph) Vallera; sister-in-law Dr. Joann Vallera; brother-in-law Dr. John (Susan) Vallera; and many nieces and nephews who adored their “BUA.”

Professionally, Anthony rose to become President of Windmill Health Products in West Caldwell, NJ, guided by the mentorship and friendship of Keith Frankel. While proud of his professional accomplishments, Anthony’s true joy was found at home and among friends—coaching youth football in Longmeadow, cheering on his daughters’ lacrosse games, and gathering family and friends for unforgettable memories in his favorite spots: their Longmeadow and Vermont homes, Vegas, Nantucket, and aboard his cherished ANA Bella.

Anthony was the consummate host, happiest when sharing smoked brisket, Sinatra tunes, and laughter-filled evenings with family and friends. His charisma, loyalty, and warmth made every room brighter. A man of deep faith, Anthony carried his beliefs through life’s triumphs and trials with grace, strength and courage.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity that will live on in all who knew him. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace. We say goodbye with gratitude: thank you for being our husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach, mentor, and friend.

Memorial Services:

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 21st, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM at GreatHorse in Hampden, MA. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 22nd, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anthony’s memory to Loomis Chaffee School Athletics, 4 Batchelder Rd, Windsor, CT 06095, or online at https://www.loomischaffee.org/giving.
