Anthony “Tony” Santilli 68 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, March 15, 2004 at home with his family by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tony was born February 15, 1936 in Mingo Junction, Ohio the son of the late Edward and Albina Laure Santilli. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Bethany Lynn Santilli. Tony was a professor at West Liberty State College after retiring from Weirton Steel Co. He attended Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church in Steubenville and was a faculty advisor of A.I.T.P. at West Liberty. He held membership in Pilgrim Lodge 691 F& AM and Scottish Rite. Tony served on the Advisory Board and several committees at Jefferson Technical College. Tony was a very loving husband and father who devoted his life to family. He is survived by his wife and best friend of almost 46 years, Millicent “Mim” Lecko Santilli; four children whom he adored Steven (Jamie) Santilli, Robert (Susan) Santilli, Mary Jo (Don) Addleman and Debbie McMillan; eleven grandchildren, many friends and family. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 3-7 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery. Pomen services 3:30 p.m.
