Anna Marie Hess, 88, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Trinity West. She was born in Steubenville on February 2, 1935, the youngest of nine children, to the late Philip & Nancy Minco Lamantia. Preceding Anna in death were her beloved husband Sheldon Hess, whom she married on December 28, 1961; siblings Philip Lamantia, Josephine Lamantia, Peter Lamantia, Joe Lamantia, Anthony “Bill” Lamantia, Mary Divictorio, Augusta Luconti & Rose Smith.
Anna is survived by five children David (Darlene) Hess and their children Maggie & William; Kevin (Andrea) Hess and their children Anthony, Armand, Andrew & Kristiana; Sheldon (Nip) Hess; Tina (Bill) Woodall and their children Shelley (Rob) Tantlinger, Billie Rae (Zach) Kinnan, Hannah (Brandon) Bain & John Woodall; Patrick (Katie) Hess and their children Ryan, Michael & Maggie; eight great-grandchildren Cooper, Hadleigh, Hudson, Heston, Maxine, Zeland, Robbie & Briggs.
Friends may call at Holy Rosary Church, 200 Rosemont Avenue, Steubenville, Ohio 43952 on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at Noon with Fr. Matthew Gossett & Deacon Tom Maedke officiating.
Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
