Anna H. Halischak 85 of Columbus, Ohio died Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Mount Carmel East in Columbus. She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio on July 20, 1917 a daughter of the late Martin and Ann Waggoner Barrett. She was a retired hairdresser at the former Hub of Steubenville and Patrick’s Salon. Anna was preceded in death by her husband John Halischak; two sisters Catherine Barrett and Bernadette Hennebert; and three brothers Martin, John and George Barrett. Surviving are two daughters Karen A. Steele of Columbus and Kathleen Halischak of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two grandchildren Matthew C. Steele and Kathleen A. Steele both of Columbus; and two sisters Mary Giles of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Patricia Bruno of Mingo Junction. Friends may call at Hoff-Shorac Funeral Home, 235 Clifton Avenue, Mingo Junction on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Private services will be hld on Saturday at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, Ohio.
