Ann L. Gossett, 77, wife of Roger V. Gossett, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born February 18, 1942 in Bellaire, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl & Donna Weirman Fox. Ann graduated from Tridelphia High School and West Liberty College with a degree in political science. She worked at Jefferson County Department of Human Services for 32 years. She was a member of Ohio Wine Producers Assn., National Wildlife Federation and Nature Conservancy. Ann loved to read and frequented the Steubenville & Schiappa Public Libraries at least once or twice a week. She was an avid supporter of public broadcasting having memberships with WVNB, WNEO and WQED. Ann was a lover of foxes, wine and books.
Ann is survived by her husband, Roger, and they would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on August 21st,; three brothers Peter (Joy) Fox Tridelphia, WV, Michael (Ronni) Fox of Buffalo, NY & Ed (Victoria) Fox of Corvallis, OR; sister-in-law Susan Gossett of Wintersville, OH; 3 nieces; 3 nephews and many dear friends.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Monday 4-7 p.m.; where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial at Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Urban Mission or Steubenville Public Library.
