Obituary For Ann Esther Zook

Ann (Esther) Zook, 77, of Steubenville, Ohio died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Trinity West. She was born July 31, 1930 in Steubenville the daughter of the late Charles & Sarah (Turner) Bauman. Ann retired from The Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing where she worked as a housemother to the “live-in” nursing students. She was previously employed as an assistant in her brother’s business, Bauman’s Rent-All. Preceding Ann in death were her husband Napolean B. Zook whom she married September 5, 1948; son Terry L. Zook; brothers Richard & Ross Bauman; and sister Eleanor “Teeny” Wheaton. Surviving are her daughter Debra A. (Sam) Santarelli of Steubenville; son Timothy R. (Kristin) Zook of Bloomingdale; daughter-in-law Sandy Zook of Richmond; grandchildren : Collette Doran, Shawna Zook, Melissa Jackson, Sarah Santarelli, Andrew Santarelli, Tatiana Zook & Zane Zook; and great granddaughter Madison Doran. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Delbert Lash officiaitng. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Memorials may be directed to Pottery Addition Volunteer Fire Dept. or Jefferson County Humane Society.

    Debbie & Tim please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your mom was truely a special lady. She was a wonderful neighbor and always remembered my mom when she make her special potatoe salad. I hold a special place in my heart for her and will remember the both of you in my prayers.
