Andrew McCaig 83 of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Kilysth, Scotland on February 12, 1920 a son of the late Andrew and Anna Margaret Moore McCaig. Andy was a retired greens keeper at Williams Country Club. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Steubenville and the church choir since 1931; Masonic Lodge #45 F&AM; Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville; Steubenville Shrine Club; Jefferson County Sportsmans Club and a past president of Wintersville Lions Club. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Yvonne Margaret. Surviving are his wife Margaret Magnetto McCaig; two sons Gary Andrew (Becky) McCaig of Weirton, WV and David John (Patty) McCaig of Bloomingdale, Ohio; one daughter Denise (Floyd “Dick”) Webber of Richmond, Ohio; one sister Eleanor Stewart of Steubenville; six granddaughters Susan (Richard) Mamula, Stephanie McCaig, Aundrea (Shawn) Simko, Nicole (Tim) Knight, Erin Webber and Amy (Glenn) Parks; two great grandchildren Richard Andrew Mamula and Alexis Knight; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 where services will be held at noon Saturday with The Rev. Michael S. Jones officiating. Entombment at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Masonic services 7:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Organ Fund.
