Andrew Getsinger of Hopedale , OH passed away Monday, February 18, 2008. He was born in Slovan, PA a son of the late Rudolph and Josephine Waltl Getsinger. Andrew was retired from Consol Coal and was a pilot, he was an avid flyer and flight instructor having taught at the Wintersville Airport. He was also a member of Unionport Masonic Lodge F&M 333. Preceded in death by an infant son Charles; brothers John and Rudolph Getsinger; sisters Josephine Branagan, Christine McConaughey and Mary Tiley. He is survived by his wife Anna Jean Cutter Getsinger; daughter Peggy Getsinger and her husband Vaughn Smith of Columbus, OH; sons David Getsinger of Steubenville and Andrew (Kathy) Getsinger of Saudi Arabia; brother Charles Getsinger of Florida; grandchildren Drew Getsinger of St. Petersburg, FL, Ashley Getsinger of Elon, NC and Steffen Getsinger of Chattanooga, TN; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, OH where funeral services will be held at 10a.m. on Friday with Rev. P. Douglas George officiating. Burial at Green Ridge Cemetery, Connellsville, PA. Offer
