Agnes A. Mavromatis 84 of Wintersville, Ohio died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 in the ER at Trinity West. She was born in Follansbee, WV on December 14, 1918 a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Liptak Kliner. Agnes was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a retired cook from the former Carlisle’s Department Store at the Fort Steuben Mall. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Mavromatis on August 27, 1991; five brothers Steve, Ambrose, Joseph, Emil and William Kliner; and two sisters Mildred Bair and Margaret Kliner. Surviving are two sons John M. Mavromatis and his companion Mary Elizabeth Saho of Wintersville and George M. Mavromatis and his wife Jean Anne of Toronto, Ohio; two daughters Donna Marie Stroyls and husband Bud of Homosassa Springs, FL and Sarah Mavromatis of Weirton, WV; one brother Edward Kliner and one sister Martha (Earl) VanFossan both of Wintersville; four grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral liturgy with mass 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates. Vigil services 3:45 p.m. Friday
