Adelina “Aunt Lena” Grill, 100, of Steubenville, OH died Monday, February 16, 2015 at her home. She was born July 3, 1914 in Midland, PA a daughter of the late Panfilo and Margherita Suffoletta Bonaventura. Lena was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was an avid bridge player. She worked as a secretary for the Attorney General of the State Highway Department and at the courthouse in Steubenville. Lena also owned the former Grill Jewelry Store in Dover, OH with her husband. Preceding Lena in death were her brother William Bonaventura and four sisters Anna Vatacino, Mary Kasper, Susie DiLoreto and Gilda Pace. Surviving are her niece Susann Simpson of Steubenville, OH; son Joe (Eva) Varga of Canton, OH; great niece Colleen (Russell) Dunn of Steubenville, OH; great nephew Joe (Donna) Simpson of Steubenville, OH; two great great nieces Alexis and Megan Dunn both of Steubenville, OH and two great great nephews Joey and Jeremy Simpson both of Steubenville, OH. Friends may call at Dunlope – Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville on Thursday 3 – 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Gerald Calovini as celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
