Adele Marie Blackburn, 63, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away quietly surrounded by loved ones Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Trinity West ER following a sudden heart attack. She was born August 14, 1952 in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late Raymond W. & Evelyn M. McCloskey Lawrence. Adele was a member of East Springfield Church of the Cross. Grounded in her faith in The Holy Spirit, Adele weathered numerous adversities with unfathomable strength and boundless love for everyone and all God's creatures. No matter what pain or discomfort life handed her she always took care of others before herself. Whether it was preparing food for her family to enjoy, spending time with her precious granddaughter or taking care of the dogs she rescued as they aged, everything that she did was motivated by love, compassion and the Lord's kindness and mercy. Adele modeled the golden rule and emulated Christ's principles every day of her life. Adele was the pillar of our family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband David L. Blackburn two daughters Heidi J. Blackburn and Amanda B. Blackburn both of Bloomingdale, OH; granddaughter Olivia Marie Clark and eight siblings Richard (Patti Lynn) Lawrence of Richmond, VA, Donna (Rick) Baker of Steubenville, OH, Darla (Ed) Bednar of Wintersville, OH, Kathy Lawrence of Wintersville, OH, Karen (Dave) Nicholson of New Somerset, OH, Patty Vensel of Wintersville, OH, Sharon Lawrence of Mesa, AZ, Carole (Jim) Blaschak of Wellsville, OH and Sherry (Richard) Sherrin of Wintersville, OH. So sorry for your loss. Adele was always so cheerful when I would see her in WalMart where she worked with my son, Mike Call. She was a good person.
