Frances Swan Goff, 97 of Steubenville, Ohio died Monday, April 15, 2002 at Forester Nursing Home, Wintersville, Ohio. She was born in Pleasants County, WV on September 8, 1904 a daughter of the late William T. and Mary Ellen Bailey. She was a member of First Westminster U.P. Church, Steubenville, OH, a charter member of First U.P. Church, Steubenville and the McLaughlin Bible Class. Frances was preceeded in death by her husband Winfield Scott Goff on August 27, 1987; four brothers Sam, Solomon, Clyde and Richard Bailey; and four sisters Cecil Cox, Millie Miller, Lelia Bailey and Amanda McGaffic. Surviving are one daughter Constance “Connie” Freshour of Steubenville; one son Scott E. (Sandra) Goff of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren Susan Freshour, Sharon Mieczkowski, Scott Goff, Jeri Crenshaw and Jennifer Hutchinson and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Craig Greathouse officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to First Westminster Church or a charity of the donors choice.
