Obituary For Domenic A. Polsinelli

Domenic A. Polsinelli 77 of Mingo Jct., Ohio died Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at his residence of natural causes. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on December 24, 1924 a son of the late Frank and Angelina Pennacchia Polsinelli. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Jct. where he served as a eucharistic minister and lector; former lay director of Cursillo; charter member of Msgr. Joseph Dooley Knights of Columbus Council 4361 and also Fr. Bigelow General Assembly Fourth Degree. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Dom was the former owner of Harmony Market in Georges Run for 27 years and retired from Pepsi Distributing of Wintersville. In 1991, he received his funeral directors license from the State of Ohio and was affiliated with Hoff-Shorac and Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Homes. Currently, Dom was serving as an assistant to the chaplain of Trinity Health Systems. Dom was preceeded in death by his wife Eileen J. Winters Polsinelli, whom he married on August 28, 1948 and she died on August 12, 1982; two sisters Philamena McQuistion and Rose DiCocco; and a daughter-in-law Maria Polsinelli. Surviving are five sons Frank and wife Terry of Mingo; Robert and wife Karen of Richmond, OH; William of Mingo; John and wife Shelly of Wintersville, OH and Paul and wife Peggy of Lehigh Acres, FL; seven daughters Mary (Don) Davis of Bonita Springs, FL; Teresa (Ed) Laman of Wintersville; Nancy (Scott) Lewis of Odenton, MD; Ann (Sam) Shorac of Steubenville; Claire (Barry) Haslett of Apopka, FL; Monica (Jeff) Ross of Akron, OH and Regina (Mark) Taglione of Delaware, OH; sister Christine (Jack) Barrett of Mingo; 25 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday 7-9; Friday 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral liturgy with mass 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Church with Rev. William Cross officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Polsinelli Memorial Tuition Fund benefiting St. Agnes School Students.
